Spoon, our Government collects money from it's citizens and private businesses in the form of taxes. Then they turn around and give businesses tax breaks to build plants here in the USA.
So lets say the Feds give company XYZ $150,000,000.00 in tax incentives and the State in which the plant is being built gives them another say $75,000,000.00 and the Local Government gives them say $150,000.00 that makes $225,150,000.00. Every penny of that will have to be made up by someone right?
So say you do not live in the state that the plant is located. You will only be on the hook for your share of the $150,000,000.00. But if your in the same state you also have your shear of the $75,000,000.00 from the state and if your in the city/county you get to help make up the whole $225,150,000.00.
So no matter what, you (we) and I are paying for their plant to be built and that $H%T is not right!
