Bunk Bed Ladder Problem

So we have a travel trailer that has a full size bed with a single bunk above it. The trailer (used) did not come with a ladder to access the top bunk and I am having a difficult time finding anything that works. The problem is that the beds are at the back of the trailer and if I put a ladder that angles up from the ground it blocks access to the bathroom completely. I've thought about attaching some "steps" to the walls but of course there are no studs where I would need them to be. Wondering if anyone has run into this same setup and what they did.

  • I screwed two modified shelf corbles to the corner of the wall about 8" above the bottom bed and than 16" and screwed a black grab bar about 8" above the upper bunk. Kids love it and works great! Bought the corbles from homedepot they start out at around 2 1/2 wide and 6" tall .grab bar from state trailer supply.
  • We got a 3 step folding ladder. Was afraid jumping up there may break or loosen up something sooner than normal wear and tear. When ready to bring the slides in fold up ladder and lay it on top bunk.
  • Mine dod not have a ladder. My kids just jumped. I think a ladder would just get in the way. If they can't get up maybe they are too small to be up there (falling).
