You know, nothing rides like a U-haul truck or trailer. Nothing corners, or brakes, or off-roads like a rental truck and trailer. Nothing goes down the road straighter than a rental rig. Nothing makes donuts or figure 8ths easier than an overloaded rental truck. Nothing is more fun than a rental.
Nothing.
A while back on the Dodge Diesel forum there was a contest to see who hauled the most impressive loads with a Dodge 3500. Hands down the winner was (with pix!) a Kansas dairy farmer who hitched up his hay wagon/trailer to his pickup. I think it was a pintel, bumper pull. Not a problem as he was only going a few miles on back road pavement with his....... 56,000 pound load! It was impressive. I believe the trailer was one of those heavy equipment/8 wheel tandem style trailers. The pickup looked like a toy below that 16' of hay clearance that went on and on. He said he didn't go fast enough to use the brakes.
