I've bought all my vehicles from fleet. It is the easiest way to go. Before I even look at a vehicle we have already agreed on a percentage above or below invoice. Now the only thing left is finding the truck I want. Easy.

I went through Costco. It was easy and almost pain free.

We ordered ours through fleet sales. The fleet manager was very knowledgeable about Ram trucks. Unlike any previous salesman I've encountered regardless of brand.

Bought a brand new Ford truck on internet via fleet sales.......never even went into dealership until day of delivery

Bought current Ram truck new on internet via fleet sales........same as Ford.

Both purchases were hassle free, great pricing and no stress.

When I was looking for a F350 DRW dealers sales directed me to their commercial sales office. Very nice guy to deal with and I ended up buying from them. (Used the X plane so price was never an issue).

I bought my last new car from the fleet sales guy, it was just luck of the draw. No difference in the deal, but it was nice talking to a salesmen who knew what he was selling. Too frequently I get greeted by the person who was selling shoes or suits last week.

My most recent truck purchase, as have been most of my truck purchases, was low-mileage used from a family-owned used car dealer that specializes in buying and selling low-mileage used vehicles. I knew more than he did about what I wanted to buy, he knew about the history and condition of what it was he was selling. Much better than the experience at the used car department of a new car dealer, or a used car mega-dealer.

Are you buying a fleet of commercial vehicles? If so, then the fleet department and commercial sales departments probably can find you some additional incentives and make you a great deal.
If you are only buying one vehicle for personal use, even a dumb ole car salesman will eventually figure out you are a retail sales customer. That fleet department salesperson or commercial sales person will probably still work out a deal for you, but it won't be anything better than you could get from the retail department. Then again, they may think they can pull the wool over your eyes and tell you that you are getting a "great commercial vehicle deal" and laugh all the way to the bank.
