CA DMV - 11500 GWVR - Help understand if I owe CVRA fees

Hi everyone, I am looking at purchasing a used 2020 F350 SRW Crew Cab and I want to make sure I don't get any surprise when it will be time to pay my registration fees:

• The truck GWVR is 11500 lbs.
• The registration body type shows "VA", not "PK". 
• The registration unladen weight shows 7240lbs, NOT the 10-15K weight range or the GWVR. (see image attached)

I was told that when the registration shows an unladen weight below 8000 lbs like in my case then I should be off the hook from having to declare weight each year and pay CVRA / get stickers. Whereas for folks that do have to pay CVRA the registration usually shows the 10-15000 lbs weight range under the "unladen" field.

How can I make sure I will just be charged the "normal" weight fees and won't have to get CVRA stickers and stop at scales? This is a personal truck used to haul a small truck camper or seldom tow small trailers.
