Rooney,
I personally think air bags are counter productive on a TC. too much recoil.
About the Lance Camper struts: I've used them for 10 years and don't feel right if they're not on there. They just tighten up the whole picture...a little bit....not much. What they do do well is counter the effects of pavement blocks, the so-called galloping, rocking effect, but they are no panacea.
In your case I would make sure you have a very thin bed mat. Do not over tighten the tie downs. You will pull your camper apart over time. I've seen this over and over again, even with people who should know. Do install camper guides of some sort. This will keep your TC in the center of the bed with no shifting. If you have secondary springs (upper overloads) by all means get the Stable Loads installed. I have two sets of overloads on top and Stable Loads. Solid as a rock.

The other thing is to get everything heavy located down low. I store nothing on the roof of the TC. Nothing. If you have an Air Conditioner, the weight up high will promote a rocking motion. I have no AC. Mine rocked side-to-side and I finally discovered that one of the four bed mounts had pulled through allowing the bed AND the TC to rock. Yep, tire pressure at the max with the TC on.
regards, as always, jefe
