So, in my search for the TT that the wife and I want, I've been diligently trying to calculate GVWR, GAWR, Traier capacity etc.. etc...I've read quite a bit, and I thought I would be okay with my tow ...

It is sad that most dealerships do not order the 1500 trucks with a higher GVWR package. I know it is also rare to see F-150's with the 7,800 GVWR too. I guess the softer springs in the lighter GVWR pickups sell better?
Your WD system will transfer about 100 pounds from the rear axle back to the trailer axles, if it is tight enough.
I also agree that many 'certified' scales might be reading on the heavy side, as they only need to go to court if they are weighing the commercial trucks to light, not to heavy. . .
Is there a moving company near by? They can also check the weight. That is where I checked out my motorhome, and I got all 4 wheel weights.
