Calculated tow capability... Disappointed
So, in my search for the TT that the wife and I want, I've been diligently trying to calculate GVWR, GAWR, Traier capacity etc.. etc...I've read quite a bit, and I thought I would be okay with my tow ...

.........Just totally shocked when I realized how low my GVWR was... only 6800 lbs. According to my yellow sticker, I have 1507 lbs of cargo capacity with my configuration.
But that's a product of the 10k lb GVWR which is artificially low for various reasons unrelated to capability. Most of the 3/4 ton diesels have axle weight ratings in the 12-12.5k combined range. On half tons the payload rating is more straightforward. You pretty much have what you have.
