I was referring to the diesel 3/4 ton trucks with my comment about the 10k GVWR.

IdaD, I suspect you were thinking of some 1 tons that were "officially" derated to 10,000# GVWR for tax/license purposes.
With 10,000# "3/4 tons" available currently I'm not sure that happens any more.
