There is one thing that I have learned about the forums and that is not to argue with the moderator, but most owners of diesel 2500HD pickups report empty weights of around 7,000 pounds and a payload of about 2500 pounds with a gvwr of 9900 pounds. My gas, regular cab, 2500HD hits the scales at 6400 pounds with just me in it.
