They are easy to spot because commercial plates are configured differently than passenger vehicle plates. I don't agree with the commercial vehicle designation for pickups but if have to comply with it so does everyone else:)
Except for folks like me that have a custom, or "vanity" plate in CA... there is no way you would know by the plate as it's just my last name...
