I hitched my 2010 jayco designer 5th wheel to my son in laws 2014 ram 2500 with coils and towed it about 80 mi. to a cat scale and back.
Some 2 lane road, some pa. TURNPIKE and 1 EXIT ON I 70 I thought it pulled well with no control issues ,no tail wagging the dog. I think it handled much the same as leaf spring 2500s I have owned ,it does ride better,
My TV is a 08 dually and I can tell you the trailer pin weight which exceeds 3,000lbs. did exceed the GVW of the truck but it did not sag the truck any more than my dually about 2in. and although the carrying cap. of the 2500 limits it, the GCWR of his 2500 is higher than my 08 3500 dually with 4.10 gears. my trucks gvw is 12,200 with gcw is 23,000 his 2500 is gvw 10,000 gcw 24,000
I have had 4 rams a 97 1500 a 2000 2500 a 02 2500 and 08 dually all 4wd and never had death wabble on any and the 02 has 356,000mi.on it.
The last truck I experienced death wobble on was a 74 F250 2wd with twin I beams. I have read about it on diesel forums but don't think it is a very common problem.
