Camp Ground Directory Books

G'day, Doug from Australia,

Looking for suggestions for Best RV/Caravan park Directory for the US, and also
Good Directory on State Park sites available.

Will be travelling April/May, CA, UT, AZ, initially.

In Australia we have Directory brought out by the National Automotive Authority, RAA,
lists & details every RV/Caravan Park in Australia, do you have an equivalent in the US?

Would like a similar book that list all State/ National Park Campgrounds too if that exists, please.

Await your suggestions.

First trip to US is April/May, CA, UT, CO, AZ, then next trip will be mid/North eastern states Sept/Oct, 2015.

    We are about to get our 2015 Good Sam directory.

    I would send you our 2014 directory if you want. It has everything in it.

    Let me know. I have sent motorcycle parts to some Australian and NZ friends. This would be easy.

    By the way, if you are in northeast U.S., we always welcome visitors to our New Hampshire home.

    You may want to look into camping in State Parks (and National Parks) as well. All parks can be found online.

    I like allstays also, good site, lots of choices. Here's another I like www.RVtravel.com, scroll down to see different links, including one for free or cheap places, you can go state to state also.

    There is a really good"STICKY" for state park links/listings on the"RV PARKS,CAMPGROUNDS,AND ATTRACTIONS"forum right here on rv.net.

    Go paperless, my friend.

    The best way to do it is with a smartphone app, there are several, and I can recommend the Allstays one at Allstays.

    If you really, really, really want a paper directory, Good Sam's is probably the best, but be aware that the last one I saw was about 4 inches thick.

    This is not a book but gives most government campgrounds.
    Campground Directory
    Trailer Life Directory has some state parks and other government type campgrounds. Not the best for government campgrounds!
