Camper on its side - help

The strong wind blew my truck camper onto it's side last night. What is the best way to get it back to upright? I really have no ideas how to do this.

Two of the jacks are bent. Two are not.

Next winter I will put it lower to the ground.

Thank you very much for your help. :)
  • Home owner's insurance. The camper is personal property when off the truck for sure. Not so sure if it's under auto or home when on the truck.

My camper burned when off the truck on my property and home owner's policy cover it other than the deductible.

    This!

I thought exactly the same thing last night when it was howling good...and mine is low to the ground! Hope your damage is minimal.

  • I would probably have a crane to lift it. If an older TC without much life left, I would use the straps.

It doesn't help you much but I never just leave my TC on the jacks only except while loading and unloading it. The only exception is with a Stable Lift. I would use the jacks as stabilizers with the TC on pallets of very strong sawhorses.
  • Construction guy with a Lull rig May be a way to go.
after lifting it, set it on a bunch of sturdy pallets so you can remove the jacks.
    Take pictures.
  • Maybe your local fire dept. could use some additional training with air bag lifting techniques. Good luck, hope the damage is minimal.
  • I would use at least 3 of those staraps to lift the camper back. The rachets will give you few inches at the time, but with couple of helpers you can do it.
Or if you have towing insurance, you can call them and make sure they will come with soft straps.
  • not cheap but you could hire a crane with slings and have a platform already built up to set it on so that you can do repairs.
