I guess we are lucky. Most of the WA state parks offer full hookups and many of the full hookup sites are spacious with trees screening other sites. Some offer sites with just water and electricity. Oregon also appears to have a large number of state parks with full hookups as well. On our most recent trip we checked out a few coastal state parks in OR and the full hookup sites were absolutely beautiful.
As for spectacular scenery, etc. We plan to return to Yellowstone soon. Last time we stayed in a nice motel in West Yellowstone. Next time, we will probably stay in a commercial park just outside of the national park. Since we will be spending our days exploring, it doesn't make too much difference to us where we stay. On my first trip there, we tent camped and stayed at Fishing Bridge. The site was nice. I nearly got trampled by a Moose while pitching our tent. There are some full hookup sites in the park (located on the south end) and perhaps we will consider trying to reserve there.
As long as the campground isn't noisy we are fine since we don't spend our days in the TT.
