Of course everyone is free to choose where they will camp.
But it is also true that a great many camping experiences (lakes, state and provincial parks, national parks and national forests which have been set aside for their beauty and for people to enjoy them) will be missed if you want full hookups. Someone here said they are not interested in boondocking...a campground without sewer hookups is NOT boondocking. Many of these campgrounds have electricity on the site, and have water available at several places along the camping loop. Many also have a dump station on the premises.
The more folks "camp" in RV parks that resemble parking lots, the more sites are available in the wonderful, nature filled parks for those of us who enjoy that experience and don't mind visiting a dump station once a week.
