Been to Finger Lakes several time and have stayed at several campgrounds in the area. Watkins Glen SP is a really nice cg for camping but we do not spend much time at the trailer and opt more for convenience. We have stayed twice at Clute Park in Watkins Glen and while its not the most scenic spot to sit around the campfire, it does have cable tv and full hookups. From the park you can easily walk into town or to the nearby Walmart. A hike through the State Park Glen is a must.
