Beat that dead horse. Go on, beat it. It's really only mostly dead.
Hit it a few more times. I think I saw it twitch.
Nobody is disputing that you lose range. Either you learn to deal with it or you don't buy this truck. 2030 is a long way off. Plenty of opportunity to kick the can down the road.
Right now all the doom and gloom that is being predicted has yet to happen. A few stupid people can't figure out how to manage their fuel and end up stranded. OMFG the world is coming to an end! Yawn.
I really have no clue what your ranting about. Yes, range is an issue, 50 percent isnt a good loss of range. To take it far isn't really feasible yet. Drive 2 hours charge up to 80 percent in two hours , drive a little less because your at 80 percent , wait two hours to charge to 80 percent again. And that would be if you managed the stops perfectly and they had chargers spaced out accordingly. It Would take me days to get to florida from nj. Might be good for short jaunts. I am not planning on buying the truck, never said I would. Just posting information. Ok, done now, please bring in the next horse.
Probably splitting hairs but 80 percent charge is 45 minutes.
Thats on a fast charger, good luck finding those on your trip. My rate is on a 240 plug. The type you will mostly find. If you happen to ve on a reguler outlet, then set up camp. And thats without set up time, given you have a clear shot at the charger.
Sorry, I don’t follow. Why would you have a problem finding a Fast charger. Are you speaking about a specific place or trip maybe?
Most places, especially when finding out of the way places to camp will not have fast chargers. In fact, where I work , they only have the mid range chargers in town, a total of 3. And thats a urban , progrssave town. Teslas everywhere,
lol. No fast charging. Unless you drive out of the way to like newark Airport. Likewise for the continguious towns. While you may find them on your route, I dont think its likely. Town is small, just a major collage, seton hall, and like 18 k people in a 1.5 square mile radius. So like 18k people plus 10 k for the college for a total of 28k. Your town may differ. But I figured it was a good starting point. Not much infastruture out there off the interstate.
