Buzz, your registration would be more than half the price if you had it permantly mounted to the frame.
He doesn't have to have it permanently mounted.
Assuming he is not removing camper to haul gravel, or cement a trip to DMV and registering the truck as RV (they have different name for it, but we know what it is) would save $332 every year
$332 can book quite a few "guest spot" at campgrounds EVERY YEAR
