NO on the Mega Cab. It has to be a DOT compliant sleeper and only 1 actually qualifies. $1.40/mi isn't worth it. Motels run around $90 for a decent pig pen and you have to find one besides. Insurance is around 12K or more/year, then you must be DOT qualified including having an office you use for your business. Meals on the road suck, you have a choice now of Dennys, Arbys or Subway. Chew on that 7 days a week. As an OO, you might break even and you can choose your own loads and time you want to run. You will not get rich, may make minimum wage if you're lucky and can say you are you own boss. LOL
Lot of miss information here. Motels run around $39.95 for Budget Inn's and the like. Yes insurance is out of this world and you have to carry a mim million policy. You run on their DOT numbers so no office needed. Meals are wherever you want to eat and all the large truck stops have very good food. Will you get rich nope but you will make over minimum wage. I looked into it when I was laid off and did not think it was worth it but then not everyone needs to make a ton of money.
OP you said "
They implied to me you had to take a unit even if it was to big for your tv. They said my truck would pull anything even though it has a limit of 9700 lbs per chevy. " if they told you that then I sure wouldn't drive for them! What a joke!
