- JaxomExplorerBumpy, I agree. MY CampLite 10.0 has small holding tanks. 7 gallons each grey & black. If I really needed to I could drain into a 5 gallon bucket and pour that into the house toilet. Yuck, I know but certainly doable. If not needed, then regular slinky dumping at dumpsites are handy.

JD,
Many thanks, I am thinking with the cassette since I can dump it at home after the trip, that's my initial thinking.

I'd rethink that myself.

Yongkie - jdbossExplorerYongkie,
We opted for the black water tank on the recommendation of the dealer. Apparently the outside storage compartment is deleted if you get the cassette toilet. On our unit, this compartment houses the wireless jack controller, and has tons of room (although you need a ladder or tall step-stool to access it while on the truck). Our 2000w Honda generator fits perfectly in the compartment with lots of room left over for extension cords, hoses, filters and whatever else you choose to put in there. - YongkieExplorerJD,
One more question after looking at the picture of your Camplite 6.8, did you get it with casette toilet or regular black water tank?
Many thanks

Funtime is owned by my neighbor, he told me that he will order it from Livin Lite in Wakarusa, IN, talk to him directly, his name is JD (Jerry Fisk). He told me that he has the 8 for now and maybe in November he will have the 6.8. I agree with you that I have to see it before we get it. So sorry for your experience, the salesman should be able to order it for you and give you pricing. If this is not the case, contact JD directly please, he is a great guy in my opinion.
Yongkie - jdbossExplorerNot trying to sway opinion on the 6.8 True the mattress does have to fold in order to open the fridge, but we've found the mattress to be very comfortable. And the freezer section of the fridge, while small, does work very well. Overall, it is perfect for what we do. We just spent 9 days and 8 nights at Rudd's Creek Campground on Kerr Lake (VA). We predominately drink bottled water, and try to utilize the bath facilities for showers and solid waste events. We typically fill the fresh water tank and don't connect to park water, in order to monitor black/gray water tank level. While there are some very minor shortfalls, we are very happy with the small footprint and conveniences of the rig. Since we haul our Can Am Commander to places where 4-wheel drive, small footprint etc are imperative, this works perfectly for us. Again, not trying to sell one, just a happy owner.

Spent a few hours pouring over the 6.8 among others. Small fridge without a real freezer. The deal breaker for me as I remember it was having to fold the thin crummy mattress out of the way to open the fridge. Also as has been mentioned, the water tanks are very small and with a price in the mid 20 thousands I expected more.
Since I haven't actually seen a 6.8 yet... I did have the same feeling about the pastime camper. Thin little mattress and the door would not open if you had sheets or blankets. - BumpyroadExplorer
