With that attitude you're making your own bed, so lie in it and expect for things to come up missing. If you're camping in a so called "campground" that is prone to theft be it from a transient element close by or close to an urban area etc, there is not one thing you're going to do to prevent it it short of sitting out all night in a lawn chair playing security guard. That or Hire Carl Spackler LOL.
