In Connecticut, the state parks have security (armed Department of Environmental Protection Police - used to be called Rangers), but years ago it was cut down to only on weekends - the local police are NOT happy about that! Because they end up having to take care of issues in the state parks during the week. Not that there are a lot of issues - usually very quiet.
Out of habit, because I like to wake up to a clean campsite, before I go to bed I put things away and straighten up the area.
I'm with those who say find another place to camp. OR... go to the state capital and work on getting more Rangers / Police. That will help everyone who wants to use the area. But that may take years.
