Campsite Squatters

I wonder how they're going to stop the wildlife from poop in' in the woods :@

I rarely dump my gray water in the forest and I have personally only ever seen one other person do it.

You act like everyone boondocking is dumping their gray water in the same place all the time. People aren't draining millions of gallons.

I've been boondocking for years because I loath campgrounds and I've never ever been able to detect that anyone has ever drained their gray water in any of the campsites that I have ever stayed in. If they did the campsites would most likely be even greener than they are.

I would have to think that if it was damaging the environment that the Forest Service would have put a stop to it years ago or we'd have a bunch of tree huggers blocking freeways and tearing down Teddy Roosevelt statues all across the country.

Yes indeed! Tell us all how that works for you and your neighbors. Step up and show us how it's no problem. Give us all your home address so we can come by and dump our gray water on your lawn.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. This applies to most everything in life.

The picture is that there are a lot of displaced people in America right now, with no place to live. Some have lost their homes to fire, some have lost their jobs, some are homeless. Living in an RV is what they can afford. Give them some slack.

Some OH state parks have stone sinks for you to pour gray water in, they run into a pipe that daylights out into the woods a few feet away. WV's drain into a gravel sump which overloads quickly then runs off to wherever. Prior to the 1980s at state parks everyone had a hose run off into the woods for gray water before the tree huggers came along. The campgrounds, trees, and wildlife is/are all still there.....Defund the gray water police.

I searched the US forest Service and all they recommended was to put a screen over the end of your hose and don't drain it into water ways.
