Can’t decide which vehicle would be best for my situation

If the Tahoe is struggling don't even consider a 1500/F-150. You won't gain enough to make it worthwhile. A 2500/F-250 will have more than enough capacity to pull that trailer and you will appreciate the smoother ride. Also check with your DMV, a 1 ton may be considered a commercial vehicle and cost more to register.
