Well old buddy, you first reference was conducted between 1955 and 1964, very few interstates had been built at that time. So what I see is that most of the info was for two lane roads.
Second, I drive in the right lane 99% of the time and being retired LEO I drive with my mirrors as much if not more than the windshield. So I am well aware of whats happening behind me.
As far as the examples of new laws involving driving slowly in the left I don't do it. I have done some mods to my 6.0 and have plenty of power to get out of the way of anyone that comes from behind if need to.
My rig will run all day long at 90, I suppose if I want to.
