How new? the 09 and 2010 4.6V8 3 valve (both 2 and 3 valve were available these years) mated to the 6 speed automatic is a pretty impressive setup, especially compared to the old 4.6/4 speed auto, and even the 5.4
I'd prefer the 3 valve 4.6 V8/6 speed over a late 90's 5.4 V8/4 speed any day. Anyone disagree?
1998 - 5.4 2v V8 235 hp / 330 lb·ft mated to 4 speed automatic
2010 - 4.6 3V V8 292 hp / 320 lb·ft mated to 6 speed automatic
