OP, you got the truck you got.. You like a trailer that is way too much for said truck..
Got 2 choices.. Think smaller trailer or get a bigger truck..
My truck has a "tow rating" of #11,000... (ha, ha) I would never think of towing anything near that weight.
Guess that's why I tow a #5000 GVWR TT with it.. Well, that and I don't really need a larger TT..
I would go to around a #7500 GVWR TT if I had the funds to do it I guess..
But I decided a long time ago that I enjoy towing when I'm not maxed out on weights and maxed out on stress of towing something being maxed out.. I have done that before and it was not fun.
I RV to get away and relax. I enjoy the trip as much as the destination, so that's where I'm at..
In the end, you just gotta do what you gotta do and decide what works best for you.
