Thanks for all the advise, to answer so questions
1. No the truck did not come with a tow package, but I have a class 4 factory hitch, factory break controller, transmission cooler.
2. The gross combined weight rating is 14,000 pounds - trailer weighs 4,166 with options but no gear loaded in it, truck weighs 5,420 pounds with a full tank of gas. ( truck was weighed on scale). GVWR of trailer 5,700
3. Gross axle weight rating front 3,700 pounds, rear 3,900 pounds
4. Occupants and cargo not to exceed 1,447 pounds
5 this truck in brand new with only a little over 5,000 miles on it. I can't afford to trade it in for a 2500 model right now, still paying my share of a 2.4 million dollar hospital bill. Thank God I had medical insurance.
I was thinking that I could just travel with a half tank of gas (16 gallons) and that would reduce my load by about 104 pounds also I could remove my spare tire and carry it in the trailer and that would save about 60 pounds
