The GM 2500 series with the 6.0 will easily pull that if u go that route. It may show less power on paper but in real life it's just as powerful if not more then other gas jobs despite what the figures are on paper. TFL did pulls with all of them, and all did very well, and the GM 6.0 pulled a lot better then you would think. As far as the tundra, well it's a great truck. Crew max takes away to much payload but the double cab could work perhaps. I prefer the 3/4 for towing, and I came from a 1/2 ton. Granted it was older and may not be as good as the newer 1/2 ton trucks. I will tell you that a stable towing platform really makes the trip much more enjoyable and easier. Crunch the payload numbers and see what works better for you.
