You are caught in the marketing verbiage (half ton, max tow, etc)
Best to shop by GVWR, as that is what the bottom line is for any of the TVs
The MTWR (Max Tow Weight Rating) is bogus as the smaller or lesser class TVs
will have very high MTWR's because the MTWR is based on or derived from the
'curb' TV
'Curb' has no options, other than the tow option and one 150lb driver.
Since the next higher class TV's has beefier frame, drive train, brakes, etc, etc
their 'curb' is more, therefore the MTWR will NOT be as high as many smaller
or lesser class TV
Half ton GVWRs range from +6K GVWR up to +8K GVWR, so look for a 'bigger' half ton
in the +8K GVWR range. That is what is needed to tow what you want, for now
