Could be a bigger carrot dangling in front of him to sell F150s than F250s right now, for whatever reason. If that's the case the LAST thing he'll want to do is show you an F250.
When I sold trucks (a dark time, long ago), "old age" units paid double commission and even the laziest of salesman turned into Bill Clinton trying to sell them. He's thinking about buying a PS3 or having money to take his girlfriend out, not what truck suits you best.
