I have a new to me 2013 StarCraft 2787bh. We took it out for the first time this weekend. Everything went great except I couldn't figure out how to turn on the scare lights. There is a light switch next to the master bed and there is another light switch in the main switch panel that doesn't do anything. Are these the switches and they just don't work? I have two scare lights, one on the front passenger and one on the rear driver. What am I missing

My scare lights for my fifth wheel are mounted on the rear sides of the trailer. The switch for them was near the rear window setup not near my entrance door here I would have expected them to be located.I guess the thought here is to check out the noise you just heard by looking out the rear window ???Probably the only time I would ever use mine would be backing in somewhere... Our scare light switch in our 2013 Starcraft is right next to the bed. We have 2 "power" switches inside the main control panel, one operates the power to the inside of the tt, the other operates the outdoor lights (not including the scare lights) The scare lights should operate as long as you have indoor power on.

My indoor power is on and the switch by the bed doesn't do anything. In the main control panel I have 4 switches. One does the main lights, one does the outside yellow light, one is the awning, and the 4th doesn't do anything either. Does your 1 switch control both lights?

Please, as a fellow camper let me ask of you, once you figure out how they work don't leave them on all night at the campground. Some of those lights are blinding to the rest of us. Thank you.

Our tt is a different model than yours but I would think design would be similar. Is your hwh electric switch clearly marked in the control panel, or could that be the mystery 4th switch? I have called Starcraft with several questions and they were extremely helpful, you could give them a try.

Had a big Class A parked next to the spot we were trying to pull in to after dark at the Gulf Shores National Seashore. He asked if he could turning on his "docking lights" to help us park. He did and we had no problem. Actually we really weren't having a problem before that. But it was a nice gesture. Yes, they were bright.

We found a little on-off switch on the bottom of the light. Had no idea it was there.

I used my scare light to run off a skunk!! I was carrying my little pocket puggle down the steps for last call, before bed, and 5' from the bottom step, stood a big ol skunk. I turned, went right back in, turned on the scare light!!

Wife said, "don't go out", but I knew it would be okay, since the salesman said, "that light will scare anything away"!!

Ya, when we went back out it was gone.

Chambering a 38 in a Glock will scare someone more than an outside light. At least that worked best on my daughter-in-laws brothers sailboat. The intruder didn't stay long.

I had to look and see that you are from the upper Midwest and probably not familiar with the fact that prostitution is still legal in Nevada. You will still see isolated brothels with the red light shining in the night.

That would give a whole new meaning to the "campground host" role.
