Your math is fine, you're trying to do something that most TC owners don't do; that is, stay within the GVWR. Campers are heavy, trucks have low GVWR. My own '07 chevy SRW carried my 11' TC fine. I was at 11,100 pounds, GVWR was 9,900. I switched to a dually with a GVWR of 11,400 but the rig weighed in at 13,100. I had many thousands of trouble free miles in 20 states until I recently sold the camper.
I was not over any tire or axle ratings and I purchased tags with a high enough rating to cover the total weight. Therefore, I was perfectly legal.
