About four years ago, I had located a Vinyl covered foam Window boot for the pass through window on my Amerigo. I made the stupid mistake of not buying it at that time, because the camper was still a long ways off from being done. Now, as I near the point where I can start finishing these things, I find that I cannot find an RV parts dealers carrying these boots anymore, and the only results that turn up are pictures of ones that Northstar and Fourwheel sell as options on their units. Does anyone have a link to the old foam pass through boots? I'm not interested in a debate on the whole paint thing, my truck is old as dirt and most of the paint is several recoats of rustoleum rattle can, its a moot point, I am just slamming into a wall trying to find these dang boots anywhere.

I got mine from Northstar when I picked up my camper. Don't know if they still sell them. I also recall reading someone bought one from truckcamperwarehouse. Maybe worth a phone call or email.

We have two cats that will be traveling with us, the window pass through is mostly to allow us to push the cabin's A/C into the camper and for when we're stopped for the night, as we'll be moving the kitty pooper to a spot behind the driver's seat so that its out from under foot (it'll normally be tucked in under the dinette while traveling.

Fortunately, that won't be an issue, the truck is an early 90s Dodge that I've been slowly modifying to make it look like a 70s era Dodge with the Adventure trim package, so very minimal electronics, and definitely no car alarm system.

One thing you might want to check before leaving truck window open and locking - the security system.
On my 2017 Ford any open window would trigger the alarm and with few minutes of delay, so I did walk away, only some time later come back to truck to notice alarm going.
I was locking the door by pushing door pegs and that did not activate security system.

I also look quite often..My pass thru is fairly large with odd dimensions and needs..More at the top and less at the bottom.The wife crawled through it last trip to grab my bag with my .357 in it without issue...I think I am just going to do something with thick foam and make it work,redneck style..LOL

Also on 1 vacations we stop at AZ campground with 124F weather.
Factory Generac promptly died after 10 minutes run.
Being 180 miles from next CG we did not had many choices.
So running truck engine with AC at full blast (and camper fan on exhaust) cooled TC for the evening, before temperatures dropped at night.

Thanks! That all makes it quite nice to have. I can't see myself even getting a leg through some of the newer rear windows! :B .our Chihuahuas could make it through, but our PB Finn would be another matter! Ha ha ha!

Lance dealers used to carry a thick closed cell foam boot to go between the sliding windows on the truck and camper.

I had the inflatable a year ago, even I had to add 3" wedges to compensate for truck window tilt.
It lasted from Vegas to Yakima area, where cross winds took it off.
I went to local Walmart and bought swimming noodles, who has cross cut in shape of flower and they flex enough to adjust for different gap dimension.
Cut them to form square around camper window and put a rope inside to hold it during camper movements.
Made 7000 miles with it, including Alaskan Highway and it still works.
