Poor design to be sure but so poor I would have thought it obvious and therefore something you'd be particularly careful to avoid by ensuring the hose is always dressed well away from the furnace exhaust. I'd also question why your water pressure regulator is connected at the camper when it should be connected at the tap so it can also protect the potable water hose from excessive pressure. :h
Although this is clearly a poor design, warranty normally covers defects in assembly so I doubt you'll see any willingness from Jayco to cover the cost of damage and will most likely label this as "operator error". :(
Where did you read I was trying to run this as a warranty issue. I've turned it in on my insurance. The camper is a 14 model and even if it was still under warranty, it's obviously not a warranty issue.
Thanks for pointing out where my regulator was and my "operator error" though.
