The biggest problem I had with canopies was visibility and I have to think that has been mostly solved with backup cameras and sensors. While driving I suppose there's a bit of an advantage to the cover but really with my CC my blindspot is right next to me as opposed to anything a canopy obscures. And really I don't have a blindspot but even after driving trucks with great mirrors for years can't get use to going based just off the mirrors.

Good point. With my Leer topper I do appreciate the backup camera and rear sensors. And the big tow mirrors eliminate any blind spots on either the passenger or driver side. In fact, I never look through the truck's rear cab window anymore.
