Put on a folding cargo carrier and when up it is fine, about 1 inch from the grill but when down it is 11 inches away from bumper, is it sticking out too far? Click For Full-Size Image. C...

could you push it in and then drill another hole for the hitch pin so that you'd use that hole when extended and the original hole when folded. Not as convenient obviously but it does stick out a long way.
