Though early reports seem good, they are just that. Early.
At this point I would still consider them experimental for real world use.
My ST tire experiments ended around 2006. I spent far too much money trying to get STs that would work. At that time I bought into the marketing hype, and the constant theme here on the forums that I was doing something wrong to be having all those failures.
I ultimately found that what I was doing wrong was spending $$$$ on ST tires.
I made the jump to LTs and the failures stopped cold. I no longer give my tires much thought. They just flat out work... Just like they should.
Maybe this new crop of supposedly improved ST tires will prove themselves over time.... But it won't be with my money.
These are the same companies that touted the benefits of their previous ST tires as they cheerfully took my money.
