My trailer (Nash 25-S, 1998) needs new tires. The largest tire stores in my area are the Discount Tire Stores & they HIGHLY recommend the NEW Carlisle trailer tires. I'm looking at the 225-75-15-E's...

Thats quite a stretch for one of them anyway.
CapriRacer (Barry Smith) is a valid automotive tire engineer who has a excellent grasp of ST and LT tire differences/construction/etc. He has written his opinions in several threads on RV.net and on Allexperts.com website which any trailer owner should read.
FastEagle experience with ST/LT/P tire is only as a new person to the towing world a few years ago and according to his tire blogs:
"I served 31 years in the U.S. Navy starting in Jan 1957 and ending in Mar 1988. I later served another 10 years supporting the U.S. Navy as an aircraft mechanic employed by the Naval Aviation Depot at Jacksonville, FL from 1992 to 2002. Then we went full-time RVing."
