Jack, you and FastEagle are playing to the tire placard liability thing simply by constantly bring up the issue just like your last post referring to certain tires that have been mentioned wouldn't pass your state inspection. Baloney. FastEagle has tried that trick also.
As long as the tire has enough tread depth and enough load carrying capacity/etc it will pass anyones state safety inspection requirement or even pass the annual fed safety inspection required for a commercial trailer/all vehicles regardless of tire type.
Now were gettin' down to facts here. Your email from Vanco is real just like any email from any tire maker when you back them into the liability issue. There is a email from Michelin that says they recommend the XPS Ribs for trailer use on 6k axles.
There also is a email from Michelin stating they don't recommend the Ribs as it doesn't meet the trailers tire placard OEM ST E at 3500 lbs on 6k axles.
The first email didn't back them into the liability corner but the second email did. Its all in the wording.
I do have a agenda. I admit it.
Its always been passing along information I personally have found through actual experience with my trailers in my construction company but mostly input from other trailer owners I find on other trailering websites (all types).
This is my last post with you on the subject.
Hopefully the OP has some more tire options to choose from and can see through the tire placard/company liability issues BS like most folks.

There is apparently a reading comprehension problem here… but that’s ok, believe what you will… I put it out there it’s all from the mfg… that apparently is a unreliable source according to what I am reading here…
