Just checked my local Discount tire and they have 7 of the new HD tires in stock.
Looks like a good choice. $518.00 for 4 mounted and balanced.

OK here is the story about the new HD tire. I talked to the corporate office today. The HD is due to roll out in mid May. When I told the lady that Discount already had them, and I was going to get them put on the RV today, she was shocked.Nobody is supposed to have them until mid month. Guess money talks if you are Discount Tire. The web site is not updated to reflect the HD tire yet. The new HD will have improved tread wear, increased heat resistance, longer durability,and a higher speed rating. Eventually the RH model will go away.

Hope you took your xenophobia meds when you got the Carlisle RH tires... I am fairly certain they are made in China as well. I know they are NOT made in the USA.

When I was researching tires I found that the majority of the early (2000's) Carlisle failures were in the "C" rated ST's! They seem to had it under control by late 2000's. And now they seem to be the go to tire. I am glad they stepped up and took care of the issues, because they were near the bottom for a while.

After looking at the HD, that would be my choice.

Changed the Chinese tires to Carlisle Rh right after we bought the trailer in October 2014. Could not find any negative comments at that time. We have about 9500 miles on them and no problems so far.

I wouldn't draw any conclusions about any tire based on a few posts especially on one forum on just one website.

The RH has been out for just over 4 years however when looking around the net at rv and non rv trailering websites the new Carlisle RH seems to be a winner for them.

I saw the adds on Discount Tire web on Carlisle's new ST205/75-15 HD and a 225/75-15 HD. Very good looking tire and tread pattern with a rib down the center for trailer service. They don't have the rounded basketball sidewall profile but have that square shoulder/flat sidewall profile like their big brother 19.5"/22.5" OTR trailer tires. Less flex = less heat.

Looks like Carlisle raised the bar again.

Got the Carlisle RH tires last September (205/75R14). Only have about 500 miles on them so far, but in terms of towing, a huge improvement over the cheap tires I had. They seem durable and I've had no issues so far. As of now, I would get them again.
