I had this problem a few years ago. I keep my trailer plugged in all the time and the ants were climbing up the power cord to get inside the trailer. Their home was in a nearby tree. I frequently sprayed the power cord and opening with whatever insecticide I had and sprayed the tree, too. Never got rid of the ant's in the tree until I cut it down and burned it. The insecticide on the power cord kept them out until then. Some of the ants inside simply died and no more ants came in. I never bombed the trailer. I don't think I'd like being in it after that with insecticide all over everything. They do make a bait for carpenter ants, but I've never had much luck with it.
Find out how they are getting in and spray a good ant killer all along their trail. If you can find and kill the source, even better.
