I bought the exact mount that RJXJ put the link in and even bought it from the same site.
I can send you a pic if you like but I did weld a steel strap to each side of the lower base for support and I also cut the fastening straps slightly and added a lock to each one.That tank ain't never leaving the bed of my truck,EVER,LOL,unless I get hit by I dunno,,a surface to surface missle of some kid and then it won't matter will it?.LOL
I mounted mine in the bed of my truck along with two Military Jerry cans,one with gas and the other with diesel,cool huh?.We are boondockers and going fulltime in 4 weeks.
We actually carry 2 extra 30 pound tanks for 4 total and I re-did the 5er to hold the original 2 plus one spare and then bought the forklift brackets for the 4th one mounted in the truck bed.
I agree,get this bracket and mount it inside the Jeep in the rear or on the tail somewhere and painted as was suggested.
Only a fool will tail gate a gas powered vehicle sporting a propane pusher.........That's fire talk.
