Center of gravity?

Is it going to cause any problems if the camper center of gravity is 4 to 6 inches in front of the rear axle?

If that location provides adequate tongue weight, you should be fine.

  • The answer depends on your truck options, the weight carrying capacity of your front axle and the weight of the camper. If you have a diesel engine for example you'll have less available weight carrying capability of your front axle. Loading the front axle is preferable to unloading it when adding a camper but overloading it is bad so it all depends on how much weight the truck camper is going to add to the front axle.
