Not to split hairs but 36" is the X (horizontal) dimension of the COG point of the camper so simply calling it "COG" is just fine so long as we all understand that it defines the location of the vertical plane along which the COG actually lies. The spec and discussion is solely for the purpose of axle loading so only the X direction is needed.
