Oil filled in main area, and small ceramic on a shelf in our front bedroom does the trick.
Oil filled takes a bit to heat up, but is silent other than the click from the thermostat. It puts out tons of consistent, noiseless heat.
When taking showers, the ceramic goes in the bathroom.
