One more experience about charging camper or trailer from truck plug - check your ground connection.
I had trouble with it on 2000 F250 and after long search found that the heavy ground wire for the plug was bolted to the frame 1/2 way under the bed and the connection corroded even in California.
Could never figure out why Ford run over 3' of wire when they could clamp it close to the plug.
