If any truck manufacturers puts smart charging system in the truck - that would be first I heard about.
I have it in my 60 mpg car, who not only does ECO engine shutdowns at red lights, but also charge the battery at high amp while braking, while during acceleration the car runs on battery power.
But ECO start has 2nd battery for engine starting and keeps the rail pressure, so engine restart is mainly due to electronic injection, when starter is just giving direction.
Long years till we see the technology in US made trucks and I am 1 of only few who likes the engine shutdowns at red lights.
Doubt it will catch on heavy vehicles.
Now my truck has about 2000W build-in electric heater.
Anybody can calculate that to amp from alternator?
