charging of 2 camper batteries with truck alternator?

On charging batteries, I have a ,08 CTD diesel, with what? 180amp Boach (sp)alternator. Two #27s under the hood and two #27s for the camper. It seems to work. But the previous owner of the truck had used it to start heavy equipment from the look of the battery terminals when I bought it. I ended up replacing the alternator, it was expected.
